GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) sunshades are specifically designed for field instruments, protecting them from direct sunlight, rain and extreme temperatures. Made of 3mm thick GRP, they are lightweight, corrosion-resistant and UV-stable. Multiple mounting types and sizes available, suitable for oil & gas, petrochemical and chemical industrial sites.

GRP instrument sunshades are manufactured from 3mm thick glass reinforced plastic, offering excellent corrosion resistance, UV stability and high strength-to-weight ratio. Designed to protect field-mounted pressure transmitters, temperature instruments, flow meters and other devices from direct sunlight (preventing measurement errors and aging) and rain. Supplied with SS316 stainless steel U-bolts and mounting brackets for easy installation.
DD1 / DD2 Instrument Sunshade
Type-A instrument sunshades. DD1 = back mount, DD2 = side mount. Size L300脳W250脳D100脳Thk3mm. Suitable for standard instrument installation.
DD3 / DD4 Instrument Sunshade
Type-B and Type-C instrument sunshades, back mount. DD3 size L350脳W250脳D100mm, DD4 size L300脳W350脳D100mm.
DD5 / DD6 Detector Sunshade
Type-D and Type-E fire & gas detector sunshades, bottom mount. DD5 small size L250脳W250脳H100mm, DD6 large size L350脳W250脳H100mm.
DD7 / DD8 Instrument Sunshade
Type-F top mount and Type-C back mount sunshades. DD7 top mount L350脳W250脳D100mm, DD8 back mount L300脳W350脳D100mm.
DD9 Instrument Sunshade
Type-H instrument sunshade with mounting bracket B, back mount. Size L300脳W250脳D100mm, supplied with UB2 U-bolt.
Selection Steps
Identify Instrument Type
Choose based on instrument: standard transmitters use DD1-DD4/DD7-DD9, flame/gas detectors use DD5/DD6.
Determine Mounting Type
Select back mount, side mount, bottom mount or top mount based on site conditions.
Confirm Dimensions
Select appropriate size based on instrument outline dimensions for full coverage.
Pipe Size
Standard mounting on 2 inch NPS pipe with U-bolt fixing.
